So what did you go as for
Halloween?
Ralphie's life is
certainly "over the rainbow" from where she was, just over a
year ago. We adopted her from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter
after she was on the streets as a stray for about 3 weeks in the
middle of summer! Ralphie's full story can be found

Many agents in BC have seen
Ralphie out on sales calls with me. She loves the attention
that the agents give her. And after all...she has to earn her
kibble somehow.
Ralphie isn't terribly excited
about getting dressed in costumes, but once a year she has to
sport a new look for Halloween. Her "Grandma" is a big Wizard
of Oz fan, and got her this Dorothy outfit....She was NOT
impressed.

Welcoming Sandy Ruel to the team!
Sandy Ruel has
joined DETM as Sales Representative, Canada, as of November
1st.
Sandy has
almost two decades of travel industry experience. Many travel
agents will remember that she served as the Alberta Business
Development Manager for Thomas Cook North America, representing
their 9 distinct brands for 3 years.
Prior to that,
Sandy worked for over a decade at WestJet, from the company's
inception. She served in various roles, including the Manager
of Specialty Products. As such, she managed a team of 45
people, including team leaders, outside sales representatives,
sales agents and coordinators.
The revenues of
the group grew exponentially while she managed the team. Sandy
was instrumental in creating the Specialty
Sales Department, as well as many other initiatives such as the
creation of the gift certificate program, the groups department,
and WestJet Vacations.
She has a
Criminal Justice certificate and is a certified yoga
