We checked off several things from our bucket list in July. We explored 4 ports in Iceland (a new country for us) and saw so much amazing scenery. We also loved sailing above the Arctic Circle and experiencing light 24x7. Ending our trip in by visiting Titanic Belfast (museum) and spending a few great days in Dublin, was the icing on the cake.

I had a friend once tell me that one goal of well-travelled people is to visit more countries than their age. Iceland was my 72nd country, so I’m well above my age, even with a travel pause during the pandemic.

We were also on a tour on 7/10 near Reykjavík when our tour guide let us know that the latest volcano near town had just erupted. We saw it in the distance as we drove back into town. It was hard not to remember Pompeii that we saw in May, but the locals weren’t worried about this one.
We definitely loved our time on the Azamara Journey!
