Family vacations don't have to end because summer is officially over.  The all-inclusive family-friendly, beachfront, Gran Caribe Real in Cancun is extending its Kids Stay, Eat & Play Free program year round through December 23, 2010 (certain blackout dates may apply). 
 
"We decided to extend the program past the traditional summer vacation because our guests are telling us that more and more school districts are changing school calendars and providing vacation days throughout the year to complement what had been a traditionally long summer vacation," said Fernando Garcia, Managing Director for Real Resorts which owns and operates the Gran Caribe Real.  "It makes sense for us to continue to offer families a great value opportunity to travel with their kids year round," added Garcia.
 
The Gran Caribe Real Cancun is located beachfront on the newly refurbished and expanded white Caribbean sand.  It is in the center of Cancun's popular Hotel Zone.  The resort offers all-inclusive family vacation packages in its Family Suites, Gran Master and Presidential Suites. 

Family friendly rates are available that welcome up to two children, 12 and under for free, when sharing a Family Junior Suite with two paying adults, and teens ages 13 to 17 receive a 40% discount when sharing a suite with two paying adults.  In addition, the Family Suites offer bunk bed configurations for even more room and more fun! All children also enjoy a special kid's check-in.

Caribbean Goes to Alberta...
and so Does Wally!

Walter Dagri Trevisan (Public Relations Manager, Real Resorts) was recently in Alberta for Air Canada Vacation's "Caribbean Goes to Alberta" road-show.

I had to be in Minneapolis so he kindly agreed to participate with the event on my behalf. Thanks Wally!!!

Real Resorts Hosts TPI Dinner

On September 22nd Real Resorts hosted TPI agents to a delicious Mexican Fiesta at Viva Mexico Restaurant in Langley, BC.

Last month I attended MLT University in St Paul, Minnesota. MLT Vacations is one of the largest providers of vacations packages in the United States, managing multiple vacation brands, including Delta Vacations, Continental Airlines Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations.

It was a busy 3 days with a big daily tradeshow, classroom trainings, various cocktail parites and MLT QA (Quality Assurance) Awards.

 

MLT Quality Assurance Award

The Quality Assurance Award recognizes hotels that achieve 99% customer satisfaction index and 99% product delivery performance with a minimum of 100 bookings.  For the 2010 award, results were measured against the experiences of more than 450,000 customers who traveled with Delta Vacations, Continental Airlines Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations from the U.S. and Canada.

Out of the more than 700 hotels offered by MLT Vacations in Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Hawaii and Las Vegas, only 117 qualified to receive the MLT Vacations Quality Assurance Award designation for 2010.
