I wanted to share with you the second half of our first 2-Brand FAM to the Cancun – Riviera Maya area last month.
Note that I just had an opening for our El Cid Resorts Mazatlan FAM starting October 21. Each agent will get their own room and come home as experts not only at selling El Cid, but also experts selling Mazatlan. Interested full time agents can find more details and the FAM application HERE.

In mid-August, the El Cid Resorts in the Riviera Maya sponsored a FAM for Canadian travel agents. Twelve agents from 4 provinces (PQ, ON, AB, BC) were accompanied by Dave Emery, El Cid’s Canadian Sales Manager, to enjoy the 3 properties in Puerto Morelos. It was a diverse group with new agents to agents with 30+ years of experience and both office-based and home-based agents.

For bookings from September 5 to October 5, there will be a $250 CAD/room Instant Savings on a number of Krystal Resorts in Mexico. Travel dates are November 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024. The agents enjoyed some amazing meals at some of the 7 a-la-carte restaurants and additional casual eating choices. The teppanyaki dinner show at the Kobo Restaurant one evening was certainly a favourite.

After dinners, the agents explored the 3 property lounges for the various evening activities. Remember that all guests at each of the 3 properties, have full access to the restaurants and activities, at all 3 properties – truly stay at 1, play at 3.

The agents also enjoyed a great snorkeling-sailing excursion from the El Cid Marina (on property) and snorkeled on the amazing Puerto Morelos National Reef.
|
One small, but necessary excursion was a trip to the fishing village of Puerto Morelos, about 5 minutes (via taxi) away from the El Cid properties, for some local shopping and souvenirs.
|
The agent’s favourite spot on property to hang out during the FAM was the roof-top adults-only bar and pool area at the Ventus Ha’ – the Ruf Bar.

For bookings from September 5-12, there will be a $300 CAD/room Instant Savings on the Ventus at Marina El Cid in the Riviera Maya for a minimum of 5 nights. Travel dates are November 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024.

The El Cid Rewards Program has been around for years and provides a generous amount of points that agents can redeem for gift cards or online shopping (Tim Horton's, movie, Apple products and MANY more.) Note that this program works for all 8 El Cid Resorts.
Note that bookings must be made through any Tour Operator such: Sunwing, WestJet, etc. Bookings made it through online companies such: Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com will not be applicable to El Cid Rewards points.
