Every year, I wait for a pair of
Canada geese to start nesting right
in the middle of New
Westminster. They nest on a little
island in the middle of an
artificial pond at a condo complex
overlooking the Quay where I walk
every day. As it takes between 28
and 35 days for geese eggs to hatch,
when I see them nesting, I can
usually expect to see little ones a
month later.

This year, I first noticed them
nesting toward the end of March, I
noticed one parent on the nest and
the other walking along the
Quay. Well, they were right on time,
and on April 25, I saw the whole
family, including 7 goslings,
walking along the Quay. One parent
leading and the other following the
fuzzy yellow little ones. After
about a day, the parents take the
family down to the Fraser River to
get away from the busy Quay
(boardwalk).

It is funny as the geese are
seemingly fearless of the people and
dogs (on leashes) walking along the
Quay.
|
|
One word: buffet. Two words: Las

excursions that may interest your

Night Clubs -
Although the Krystal Grand Cancun
and the Krystal Cancun are quiet,
family friendly properties, they are
just a 5-minute walk away from Coco
Bongo and some of the other most
popular night clubs in Cancun.

|
Xoximilko is
a cultural & culinary excursion
about 10 minutes south of the CUN
airport and close to the El Cid
properties in Puerto Morelos You
ride small boats in the lagoon and
taste food and listen to the music
from all corners of Mexico. Of
course, there is alcohol included
and the evening ends with dancing.

Sailing/snorkeling Excursion –
This excursion leaves right from the
marina at the Hotel Marina El Cid
Spa & Beach resort. I take my FAM
agents on a fun morning of sailing
on the catamaran, and then
snorkeling in the Puerto Morelos
National Reef.
