You are on mute!
(DETM February Newsletter)

Dear Dave,

“You are on Mute” or “Can you hear me” were certainly the catch phrases of 2020. Have you lost count of the number of Zoom, Webex, Facetime etc. meetings you have done with suppliers, as well as family and friends?

I guess we are lucky that we still have these high-tech ways to stay in touch, both professionally as well as personally.

Well, even though this Winter isn't what we hoped for, it is what we have. I admire all of the agents and agencies who are hanging in there and keeping in touch with clients who can't wait to travel as soon as they are allowed.

Like most of you, I'm staying put and dreaming of travel. Above is a sample of my digital art from some of my photography...close to home.

Stay safe and strong.

Sincerely,

Dave Emery

If you are missing Mexico, as I am, you can check out this recipe for Mango and Jalapeno Salsa from El Cid’s Chef, Luis Pazos. Of course, the state of Sinaloa, where Mazatlan is located, is known for all of it’s fresh fruit and vegetables.
All you will need is mango, jalapeno pepper, red onion, fresh ginger, and a few other staples from your kitchen. Click HERE for the full recipe.

Also, remember the “Always Committed” hygiene and safety protocols for all El Cid Resorts HERE.
The Hoi An ancient town was voted as the best city in the world in 2019 at the Travel+Leisure World’s Best Award.  Hoi An situated by the bank of Thu Bon River, lends the city a calming and nice atmosphere.
You can find banh mi everywhere in Vietnam but in Hoi An you have a chance to try Banh Mi at Banh Mi Phuong which was called the best sandwiches in the world by Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.
Of course many of the Realistic Asia tours include a visit to Hoi An.
Krystal Resorts is proud to be the first Mexican hotel chain to announce a sanitary certification program under the name Stay Safe & Clean, based on compliance with strict hygiene and sanitization protocols, which will be audited and certified with the main objective for our guests to feel safe in our hotels.

The Krystal staff are doing everything necessary so that when your clients resume their business and pleasure trips, you can feel the highest confidence and trust in their very high Hygiene standards when recommending any of the hotels we manage.
