Light at the end of the Tunnel
(DETM December Newsletter)
and last minute gift idea

Dear Dave,

Is anyone else excited about the announcements about more promising vaccines? I know that a widely distributed vaccine will allow us to get back to work, normality and travel again! This is especially good news in light of the recent case spikes, additional lock downs and winter on the way.
Are you looking for a gift for that person who is very hard to buy for? Are you looking for a permanent reminder of the challenges that we faced and overcame in 2020? Well, I may have a creative solution for you with my self-published photo book: 2020 Signs of the Times (A photo record of pandemic signs in British Columbia, Canada)In addition, a portion of the book sales goes to charity (see below).
As an amateur photographer, I enjoyed documenting our local adventures through my photos. HERE is sample of some of my favourite photos of flora, fauna and scenery from our hikes and exploration over the year. We do live in such a beautiful province, and I appreciate it even more now.

I also decided to photograph the amazing variety of pandemic signs all around us in British Columbia, that are meant to help keep us educated and safe while outside exploring. It made sense to self-publish a book highlighting these creative and eye-catching pandemic signs from BC. With vaccines on the horizon, these signs will definitely be gone sometime in 2021.

You can see a sample of the book HERE.

You can purchase a copy of this photography book in
1. Various formats (hard cover, soft cover, magazine style, PDF or eBook),
2. At various prices ($4.99 - $30 CAD)
3. Directly from me HERE or
4. From the self-publishing/printing company Burb.ca HERE.

TESTIMONIAL:  Christal Bauer, a fellow travel professional, recently bought a copy of the book.  She says “So exciting!!! I went to the mailbox and my book was there!! I absolutely love it...thank you so much!! Perfect memories of a crazy year.”

Note that a portion of the sales profits of this book will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross and BC Transplant. The Canadian Red Cross staff and volunteers continue their ongoing mission of education and emergency relief during the pandemic. Freddie is a living kidney donor and volunteer with BC TransplantBC Transplant oversees all aspects of organ donation, family support and transplant across BC and manages the BC Organ Donor Registry.

Stay safe, stay hopeful and keep in touch.

Sincerely,

Dave Emery
