I hope that you are managing well as
things are starting to get busier!
Here are a few things I’ve learned
over the past 15 months:

* Don’t use 7 year old yeast packets…
*
Separate bathrooms are really a must…
*
At least 10% of our fellow humans
are selfish jerks... much more
obvious with the mask requirements…
*
Our necessities are really food,
water, shelter...
*
We live in a beautiful area in BC
and now we have explored our local
parks more…
*
I don’t know anyone who ran out of
toilet paper…
*
I’m so thankful for our health care
and essential workers…
*
People think they need to travel,
but they don't really... we provide
a luxury service, not a necessity
*
I’m thankful for good science and
scientists…
*
We CAN eat our own cooking everyday,
for over a year…
*
I lost count of the times I heard
“you are on mute!”…
*
Viruses are amazing things,
*
And so is our immune
system. Hopefully we all know a bit
more about both.
*
Too many people don’t know what 2
meters/6 feet are…
*
It’s nice to quarantine with someone
you love
*
At the beginning of the pandemic, I
predicted that it would bring out
the best and worst in humanity… I
was right…
|
I also remember everyday that we are
lucky to be in a rich country where
vaccines are available, but only 1%
of people in low-income countries
have been vaccinated.
Also, some of our friends and
relatives with compromised immune
systems, undergoing chemo/radiation,
etc., can’t be vaccinated and are
still at great risk of becoming
infected.
